Lumbar is the bigger fix for actual back issues — sustained support, adjustable to your spine's preference. Massage is the better recovery feature — relieves tension after long drives or stress. Most customers who do one eventually do both. If you're picking one: lumbar first for daily commutes, massage first for highway road-trippers.

How long does each install take?

Standalone: lumbar is about 3-4 hours for both seats. Massage is typically one business day. Both add-ons bundled with a leather install add only a few hours to the leather timeline since the seats are already apart.

What's the warranty?

Both systems carry a 3-year / 36,000-mile manufacturer warranty — Rostra and Voxx air-bladder lumbar systems, and Champion Auto Systems 6-motor massage. Plus we stand behind every install we do.

How does each system work?

Lumbar: an air bladder sits in the lower portion of the seatback. A switch controls a pump — inflate for more support, deflate for less. Dial it in to your back. Massage: six motors built into the seat cushion and backrest, controlled by a handheld control. Multiple intensity levels.

Where do the switches go?

Aftermarket switches mounted in a sensible spot on your interior — seat side, center console, or wherever fits cleanly. Not OEM switches for most vehicles; we mount them to blend visually with your dash rather than stick out as bolt-ons.

Can I add one without the other?

Absolutely. Most customers start with one and add the other later — common pattern is lumbar first, massage added during a future leather refresh. Each can be installed standalone or bundled.
