What It Is

The right kit, for the right job, mounted right.

Hitches, racks, tonneau covers, headache racks — bolt-on accessories are simple in concept, easy to install wrong. Wrong installs become rattles, leaks, paint damage, exceeded weight ratings, towing risk. We install from multiple brands matched to your vehicle and what you're carrying, secured for use and the PNW.

Bolt-ons that bolt on right because we measured first.

Common installs: trailer hitches for towing and accessory mounting, roof racks for kayaks / bikes / cargo boxes, hard or soft tonneau covers for pickup beds, headache racks for work trucks, and the long tail of accessories from realtruck.com your vehicle needs. Wiring harness and brake controllers when applicable.

Common Questions

What people ask before they book.

How do I know what hitch class I need?
Two factors: (1) Trailer weight rating — what you'll tow, plus a margin. (2) Your vehicle's tow rating — never exceed it regardless of hitch class. Most people end up with Class III because it covers most boats, small campers, and heavy bike racks. We'll match the hitch to your vehicle and use case when you call.
Which tonneau cover style should I pick?
Hard folding is the most-popular all-rounder — locks, sheds water, opens fast. Soft roll-up is budget-friendly and the lightest option. Retractable (RetraxPRO) is premium — motor-driven, fully secure, no panels to store. Locking roll-up (Roll-N-Lock) is security-focused with an integrated lock. Tell us how often you load the bed and what weather your truck sees, and we'll match style to use case.
Will the cover fit my bed liner / bed mat / toolbox?
Usually yes — but tonneau covers and bed accessories interact, and not every combination works. Tell us in your quote what else is in the bed (drop-in liner, spray-in liner, mounted toolbox, BedSlide, etc.) and we'll spec a cover that's compatible. Some retractable covers don't clear large toolboxes; we'll flag that before you commit.
Will the rack work with my sunroof?
Yes, as long as the crossbars don't sit directly over the sunroof opening (which would block it). We position rack mounting to maintain full sunroof function — design constraint we work around routinely.
Can I mount a ladder or equipment rack on my headache rack?
Yes — most Backrack and Westin headache racks have accessory mounting for ladder racks, light bars, or work lights. We'll spec the right headache rack model and mounting kit for what you're carrying. Common with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and trades fleets.
Will the install void my warranty?
No — properly installed factory-rated hitches, racks, tonneaus, and headache racks don't affect your vehicle warranty. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975 protects your factory warranty against being voided over aftermarket parts — a manufacturer would have to prove the aftermarket part caused the failure to deny a claim. We use OEM-grade mounting hardware, follow proper documentation, and keep aftermarket components isolated from factory systems.
How long does the install take?
Roof rack: 1–2 hours. Trailer hitch: 2–3 hours including wiring harness; brake controller adds an hour. Tonneau cover: about 1 hour for most styles; retractable systems can run 2 hours. Headrack: 1–2 hours. Most jobs done same business day.
Will it leak?
Properly installed and sealed: no. We use the manufacturer-recommended sealant on every penetration and pressure-test where appropriate. PNW rain is the test case for everything we install — if it doesn't hold here, it doesn't hold.
Do you do hitch wiring for trailer lights?
Yes — 4-pin or 7-pin wiring harness, properly grounded, plug-and-play with most factory tow packages. Brake controllers (for electric trailer brakes) also available.
