How does the treatment actually work?
Two-part chemical formula. We clean and prep every piece of glass first, then apply Glassparency in a controlled application. The coating bonds directly to the silica in the glass — it's not a wax sitting on top that washes off. That's why it lasts years instead of weeks.
Does it work on all my windows?
Yes — windshield, side windows, and rear glass, all treated in one appointment. Most customers do the full vehicle. We can also do windshield-only if you want to start there.
How long does it last?
About 3 years with normal driving and washing — every application comes with a 3-year warranty. Some customers see slight performance reduction in year 3, but the effect is noticeable through that period. Easy to re-apply when it wears off.
What's the maintenance like?
Light. Glassparency sends seasonal touch-up reminders — these touch-ups are covered under your 3-year warranty at no additional cost. Most customers come in twice a year (before winter, before summer). Outside of that, regular washing is fine — no special soaps or wipes required.
Can I just buy and apply this myself?
Glassparency is an authorized-applicator-only product. The application process requires specific surface preparation (pH-neutral cleaning, careful drying, controlled environment) — done wrong, the coating won't bond properly and you'll waste the product. We're set up for it; the result is consistent. The seasonal touch-ups are something you can work on directly yourself.
How long does the application take?
Windshield only: about 1 hour. Full glass: 2–3 hours including curing time. We do most applications by appointment so the bay is ready when you arrive.
Will it work with my window tint?
Yes — Glassparency goes on the outside surface of the glass.
Window tint is on the inside surface. They don't interact and work great together.
What about my windshield wipers?
You can still use them in heavy rain. You'll just use them less. At highway speed, water beads off without help. In stop-and-go traffic or heavy downpour, wipers still help.
Does it help with snow and ice?
Yes — ice and snow have less surface adhesion to treated glass, so they scrape off easier. Won't prevent ice formation, but reduces the labor when scraping.
